In December 2023 Dion’s Bus Service joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent. As diverse as these conditions are, so are individual access needs. Someone with a hidden disability can opt to wear the Sunflower lanyard to discreetly be seen by our bus drivers.
Our drivers have been trained to recognise the Sunflower lanyard and provide a helping hand, understanding or support when using our transport services.
Free Sunflower lanyards can be obtained from Transport for NSW by emailing sunflower@transport.nsw.gov.au
